Lighting the Way One Story at a Time
Vintage Lantern Media is a place of hope, encouragement, and trusted resources for those navigating life's most difficult journeys.
A lantern does not illuminate the entire journey. It simply provides enough light for the path ahead of us.
The same with life, it never gives us all the answers. Most days, the next step is all we can see - and often, that's all we need.
METHMERIZED
A Story of Love, Loss, and Surrender
Methmerized: A Story of Love, Loss, and Surrender, offers an honest look at the impact of
addiction on families and the difficult journey toward healing. Through her own experiences,
Gayle learned the difference between giving up and letting go. Letting go did not mean
abandoning the people she loved or "kicking them to the curb." It meant releasing the illusion of
control and transferring burdens she could no longer carry. More than a story about addiction,
Methmerized is a story about surrender—not surrender to a disease but surrender to the freedom
that comes from accepting what we cannot change and finding the courage to move forward.
OUR STORIES
STORIES THAT BRING HOPE
ENOUGH LIGHT FOR THE NEXT STEP
Stories have the power to meet us in difficult places, remind us that we
are not alone, and offer enough light to take the next step forward.
Our Stories
Stories That Help Us Take One More Step Forward
01
STORIES THAT BRING HOPE
Enough Light for the Next Step
We share stories of real life—stories of struggle, hope, courage, loss, and finding our way forward. Sometimes another person's story provides just enough light to help us take our own next step.
02
STORIES THAT INSPIRE COURAGE
Courage to Take the Next Step
Courage doesn't mean we're not afraid. Sometimes courage means being scared to death and choosing to do what is right anyway. It can look like telling the truth, asking for help, setting a boundary, letting go, or taking the next step when we'd rather turn back.

STORIES THAT REMIND US WE ARE NOT ALONE
You Are Not Alone
None of us were meant to walk through difficult seasons completely alone. Sometimes the most meaningful thing we can offer is a story that says, “I understand. I've been there too.”
Sometimes the first step is simply finding a safe place to talk, listen, and be heard. A conversation can open a door, bring a little clarity, and remind us that we don't have to walk through difficult seasons alone.
